Masuri Batting Gloves Impact Safety Testing
Masuri batting gloves are designed for comfort and performance and subject to impact-absorption testing to raise standards of safety that lead to better protection for players.
The gloves are manufactured with either split or sausage fingers to suit wearer preferences for comfort and grip.
The Masuri design team moved away from cotton stuffing filling in favour of advanced PRO-FOAM technology.
The British Standard requires the 15J test – which is approximately the speed of a ball delivered by a junior bowler - to return an impact reading of
LESS THAN 250g
In two 15J tests, the gloves returned average readings of
44.4g and 49.8g
making them more than five times more effective than the standard required.
In two 30J tests – which is approximately the speed of a ball delivered by an adult cricketer – the gloves returned readings of
152.2g and 177.4g
in the region of 30 per cent more effective than the standard required.
The tests were carried out by INSPEC International Limited, a leading independent organisation for the testing and certification of personal protective equipment www.inspec-international.com
